CENTURY CO)~ITTEE
21ST
HIh~TES
~Y 13, 1991

The Committee met at the Cebarrus County Department of Social
Services on Hay 13, 1991.

Persons present were Jim Cook, Angels Ferguson, Herb Smith,
Hartha Haeon, Bob Sessum, Jan Odell, Dave Loekhar% Fred Pilkington,
Rod Duncan, Betty Jewell, Vernice Hike
Horgan,
Byrd,
Sue
Russell
and
Bob Lorish.

Hinutes of the April 29 meeting were distributed.

Sue Russell and Hike Byrd of the County Planning Department
brought a package of descriptive data on the County together with
several charts reflecting historical growth in the County by
to~nship. Hs. Russell and Hr. Byrd indicated demographics and growth
projections from the 1990 census are not as yet available. Hike Byrd
expressed the opinion that future population growth would probably not
shift the geographic areas in which major client populations of the
public agencies would be located.

A listing of County-o~med properties which had been prepared by
the Finance Office was distributed. Some of this data was difficult
to interpret. The Committee expressed a desire to have a map
reflecting properties o~med by the County.

There was discussion of data the four public agencies could
provide. It was agreed these agencies would provide:
1. numbers of persons served by each agency during the past
year.
2. maps reflecting a random sample of client (home) locations
for each agency.

There was additional discussion of presentations by public and
private agencies.

It was decided the next meeting would be Tuesday, Hay 28 at the
Health Department.

The meeting was adjourned.

t
