! <br /> <br /> 21ST CERTURY CO~JlTTEE <br /> ~II~UTES <br /> June 17, 1991 <br /> <br /> The Co~ittee met on this date at the Cabarrus County Senior Center. <br /> <br /> Those actendius the meeting were as follows: Bob Sessu~, Rartha Racon, Gall <br />Linker, Fred Pilkington, Yernice ~or~en, Betty Je~ell, Bob Lorish, Charles Page, Rerb <br />Smith, Jim Cook and Dave Lockhart. <br /> <br /> Minutes of the June 3, 1991 ~eetins were distributed and approved. <br /> <br /> Angela Fergvson made a presentation on services beius provided by the Senior <br />Center and the Department of Aging. (A copy of her report is included as a part of <br />these minutes.) <br /> <br /> Chair-man Herb Smith discussed the United ~ay Program E~phasis (PEP) Process <br />Report and Charles P~se clarified a number o~ issues. <br /> <br /> The Co~lttee next discussed the proposal of United ~ay and the Urban Institute <br />~or the provis~on of consultant services. ~e Co~ittee accepted ~he proposal. It <br />agreed chat tc ~ould ~aut the consultants co assist ~ith development of a ~epotC. It <br />agreed the proposed ten aeetins process should begin in aid-Avsust and that it should <br />meet bi-~eekly at 7:00 p.a. It directed Chai~an Herb Smith to make a report to the <br />Board of Comissio~ers at its 3uly l, 1991 meeting and ~o request an appropriation for <br /> <br /> AfCe~ agreeing ~o meet next on Augus~ 8 at 7:00 p.~., the Co~ittee adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
