Page ! of 1__2 <br /> <br /> CONTRACT FOR SERVICES <br /> PROVIDED FOR UNDER TITLE III OF THE OLDER A)tERICANS ACT <br /> AND/OR SOCIAL SERVICES BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br /> AND/OH NORTH CAROLINA STATE GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br /> THIS AGP~EEMENT, entered into as of this 1st day of July, 199!, by <br /> and between Cabarrus County (for services Drovided by its <br /> Department of Aginq) <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the "Agency") and the Centralina <br /> Council of Governments, (hereinafter referred to as the "Council"). <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH THAT: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council desires to engage the Agency to render certain <br /> services in connection with a project (hereinafter referred to as <br /> the "Project") financed in part by Title III Older Americans Act <br /> grant funds; and/or Social Services Block Grant funds; and/or North <br /> Carolina State Grant funds provided to the Council from the United <br /> States Department of Health and Human Services, the State of North <br /> Carolina and the North Carolina General Assembly through the North <br /> Carolina Division of Aging; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency desires to render such services in connection <br /> with the said Project: <br /> <br />NOW THZREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and the mutual <br />covenants and agreements hereinafter contained, the parties hereto <br />agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. Employment of the Aqency. The Council hereby to <br /> agrees <br /> engage <br /> the Agency and the Agency hereby agrees to perform the <br /> services hereinafter set forth in accordance with the terms <br /> and conditions contained herein. <br /> <br />2.
