Page ~ of 1~2 <br /> <br /> collected revenues by service so that the Council can <br /> compare the budgeted service unit cost to the actual <br /> service unit cost. <br /> <br /> (c) Adjustment to the Budqeted AAA unit Cost. The Council <br /> will consider ~djustments to the budgeted AAA unit rate <br /> after January 1, 1992, upon the request of the Agency and <br /> if an analysis of actual cost and units provided through <br /> that point in the contract period shows: 1) the Agency's <br /> actual increase in expenses pertaining to this contract <br /> is due to extraordinarily higher costs which are beyond <br /> the control of the Agency, or 2) there is a substantial <br /> - difference between the number of service units planned <br /> and the number of service units actually delivered. If <br /> the number of service units delivered is lower than <br /> planned, the Agency must make every effort to increase <br /> services to the level committed in this agreement before <br /> the Council will consider making any adjustment to the <br /> budgeted AAA unit cost. <br /> <br /> Any adjustment to the AAA unit cost or the number of <br /> service units is at the discretion of the Council and <br /> contingen~ upon approval of the North Carolina Division <br /> of Aging. <br /> <br /> (d) Reallocation of Grant Funds. It is understood and <br /> agreed, that in the event that the Agency's rate of <br /> progress on this contract is leading to the under- <br /> utilization of the funds allocated, and if the Agency <br /> cannot demonstrate how funds will be fully utilized <br /> period, then, upon to the <br /> during <br /> the <br /> contract <br /> notice <br /> Agency and approval by the North Carolina Division of <br /> Aging, the Council may decrease the total compensation <br /> to be paid hereunder in order to reallocate funds to <br /> other contracts. <br /> <br /> (e} Payments of USDA Funds. Should the Council receive USDA <br /> funds for disbursements to the Agency, payments shall be <br /> made monthly based on the number of units (meals) meeting <br /> service standard requirements served by the Agency to <br /> eligible persons multiplied by the meal reimbursement <br /> per <br /> rate set by the USDA. Ail USDA revenue must be fully <br /> accounted for by the Agency and used during the contract <br /> period to offset the cost of the service(s) provided. <br /> <br />Program Income. No person age sixty or older receiving <br />services under the terms of this agreement shall be required <br />to pay any part of the cost of the service(s). However, older <br />persons shall be given the opportunity by the Agency to make <br />a contribution toward the cost of the service(s) they receive <br />and may be informed of the Agency's total unit cost of the <br />service 01der persons' financial contributions and all other <br /> <br /> _ <br /> <br /> <br />
