NORTH CAROLINA GCuNTRACTFOR <br /> MECKLENBURG COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES TRAINING <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 10th day of July, <br /> 1991~ by and between Cabarrus County (on behalf of Cabarrus EMS) <br /> referred to as the CouDty, and the CENTRALINA COUNCIL OF <br /> GOVERN~4ENTS, hereinafter referred to as the Council; <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cabarrus C6unty desires to improve their emergency <br /> services and has submitted to the Council a <br /> medical <br /> program, <br /> proposal for such improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said proposal was includ¢~d in the 1991-1992 State <br />Emerqency Medical Services Grant application prepared by the <br />Council for submittal to the N.C. Department of Human Resources; <br />and ' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council's application, including the County's <br />proposal, has been approved and subsequently funded; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises and payment of <br />the funds as hereinafter set forth, both the County and the Council <br />do mutually agree to the following: <br /> <br /> 1. The Council agrees to provide or to cause to be provided <br /> those certain items of Medical Equipment set forth in <br /> Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br /> reference. <br /> <br /> 2. The Council agrees to contribute toward the cost of each <br /> item of said equipment set forth on Exhibit A, an amount <br /> which shall equal the lesser of (1) fifty (50%) percent <br /> of the actual cost of each itam, or (b) t~e maximum grant <br /> available for that item, said maximum being set forth on <br /> Exhibit A. <br /> <br /> 3. The County agrees provide or <br /> to <br /> otherwise <br /> necessary funds to pay that portion of the cost of the <br /> items set forth on Exhibit A not payable by the Council <br /> pursuant to this agreement. <br /> <br /> The Board authorized the submission of a grant application to Centralina <br /> Council of Goverrments on February 4, 1991, to obtain funds for pagers under <br /> a matching grants program.
