States <br /> that buffer strip be required on major thoroughfares. <br /> What is defined as a major thoroughfare? <br /> <br /> Mr. Downs stated that a major thoroughfare is defined in <br /> the Kanlacon Thoroughfare Plan, it would be Highway 29, <br /> Highway 49, Highway 24/27, Highway 601, Highway 73 and <br /> the Westside <br /> Bypass. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hartgen asked Mr. Downs if there was any discussion <br /> abnut the impact the proposed subdivision have, and the <br /> non-physical dimensions of subdivisions proposals as far <br /> as traffic, schools, water and sewer. <br /> <br /> Nr. Downs stated presently they are part of the review <br /> process. <br /> <br /> Mr. asked what is the schedule for this revision? <br /> Hartgen <br /> <br /> Mr. Downs stated the staff would prefer that the Board <br /> move it along to the Commissioners. <br /> <br /> Mr. Newton stated the staff tries to do an update on the <br /> subdivision regulations every year. A lot of information <br /> Mr. Hartgen is requesting, our office would love to have. <br /> That is why our department is requesting additional staff <br /> so our department could gather some of that information. <br /> <br /> Mr. Hartgen stated he wanted to make it clear that he is <br /> not requesting that it be done at th~s point. It seems <br /> to him that you would have to have this Information ~n <br /> order to make reasonable decis~ons on proposals.
