SCODa of WO~ i The CONTRACTOR is hereby engaged by SPONSOR to provide support services for the Carolinas Transportation Compacl, a regional transportalion planning organization. The Compacl has Ihirteen member counties and also has the South I Carolina Department of Transportation and the North Carolina Department of Transportation as members. The scope of work includes Ihe ass[stance of UNC Charlofte's Urban Institute in Ihe following areas: I Providing spaces for the Executive Direclor of the C'arolinas Transportation Compact and olher administrative support such as personnel and budgetary services. The Urban Institute will assist the Executive Director of the Carolinas Transportation Compact in providing the necessary support for the Compact. I Assisting the Carolinas Transportation Compact in establishing an appropriate organizational framework to carry out the duties and i responsibilities of the Compact. Ass[sling the Carolinas Transportation Compact in delermining its work program. I Providing consultant services in support of the research program of Ihe Compact. I Helping Io facilitate the information services needed to keep all interested parties involved and informed about the work of Ihe Compact. ! ! !
