NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING <br /> ON WIDENING NC 49 FROM EXISTING' FOUR L~{E <br /> SECTION NEAR UNCC TO 1000' EAST <br /> OF SR 1300 IN }IARRISBURG <br /> <br />Project 8.1672601 R-2215 Mecklenburg and <br /> Cabarrus Counties <br /> <br /> The North Carolina Department of Transportation will hold <br />the above public hearing on August 6, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />Harrisburg Elementary school cafeteria, 500 Highway 49 North, <br />Harrisburg, NC. <br /> <br /> The hearing will consist of an exDlanation of the proposed <br />design, right of way requirements and procedures, relocation <br />advisory assistance, and the state-federal relationship. The <br />hearing will be open to those Dresent for statements, <br />questions, comments and/or submittal of material ~ertaining to <br />the proposed design. Additional material may be submitted for <br />a period of 15 days from the date of the hearing to: C. B. <br />Goode, Jr., P.-E., P.O. Box 25201, Raleigh, NC 27611. <br /> <br /> The proposed project will widen NC 49 to a four lane <br />divided facility with provisions for additional future widening <br />except for that portion between Caldwell Road and the end of <br />the project which is proDosed to be a five lane curb and gutter <br />section. Additional right of way and relocatigns will be <br />required. <br /> <br /> A map setting forth the location and design and a copy of <br />the EnvironmenTal Assessment are available for public review at <br />the D.O.T.
