Coordination (bffice.~neelings and correspondence) with the Cabarrus County <br />Mosquito Control and NC Division of Environmental Health, Public Health Pest <br />Management Section, regarding specific monitoring plan for evaluation of mosquito and <br />fish populations in pool; initial (baseline) monitoring of adult, and lan,al mosquito <br />populations should begin immediately. <br /> <br /> 1.6.1.2. Draft County Preservation Lands Guidelines - legally describing Preservation <br />I.~nds and 1-labitat Creation areas; guidelines to (public) access, development, <br />or use of ]~nds...". <br /> <br />1.6.2. The following will be accomplished, in accordance with the specific conditions <br />of the 404 permit as follows: Littoral shelf construction by excavating and filling around <br />thc proposed shoreline; planting 186 acres of bottomland hardwoods around the reservoir <br />perimeter; planting 170 acres of upl~d hardwoods and pines in the buffer m'ca; and <br />planting 6 acres of wildlife feed plots. <br /> <br />1.6.2.1. Construction obser~,ztion of littoral shelf construction, accomplished through <br />excavation and back-filling aJong the resen'oir shoreline, than spreading a 4-inch to 6- <br />inch layer of mulch on this shelf (mulch to originate from existing botlomland hardwood <br />wetland areas). <br /> <br />1.6.".2. Observation of planting, on 10-foot centers, of sapling trees on the littoral shelf. <br /> <br />1.6.2.3. Obsen,ation of planting, on 10-foot centers, of sapling pines and hardwoo.ds in <br />upland reforestation areas. <br /> <br />1.6.2.4. Obsen,ation of planting of wildlife feed plots. <br /> <br />1.6.2.5. Development of a de~le~l monitoring plan which, in accordance with specific <br />conditions of the 404 permit, will record the results of these mitigation efforta. <br /> <br />1.6.2.6.
