THIS CONTRACT, entered into this day of ,1991 by and <br />between Cabarrus County hereinafter referred to as the 'County", and the University of <br />North Carolina at Charlotte, hereinafter referred Io as the 'Agency.' <br /> <br /> WITN[~SSETH: <br /> <br /> WHERE~S, the Agency has submilt~ to the County a proposal tot the pedormance <br />of certain technical or professional services by the Urban Institute of the University of <br />North Carolina at Charlotte; e, nd <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposal submitled by the Agency has been approved and accepted <br />by County <br /> the <br /> and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessan/to enter into this contract in order to set <br />forth in the agreement between the parties as to services to be performed by Ihe Agency. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties do mutually agree and contract as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The Agency agrees Io pedorm technical or professional <br /> services in the manner and for Ihe purpose slaled in Exh~il <br /> A and associated appendices attached hereto and incorporated by <br /> reference into this conlract. <br /> <br /> 2. In consideralion for the pedormance by the Agency the County <br /> agrees Io pay the Agency an amount not Io exceed $2,400. <br /> An invoice for all costs relating to the project will be presented al <br /> the conclusion of the work. Payment is due upon receipt of <br /> invoice. <br /> <br /> 3. If Ihe Agency fails to perform ils obligation under the <br /> contracl, or i! the Agency shall violate any of Ihe <br /> provisions of this conlracl, The County shall have the <br /> right to terminate this contract by giving written notice to Ihe <br /> Agency of such lerminalion at least thirty (30) days before Ihe <br /> effective date of such termination. In such event, all <br /> unexpended funds at the time of such lerminalion shall be <br /> promptly ~'epaid to Ihe County. <br /> <br /> <br />
