COUNTY OF CABAKRU$ <br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br /> <br /> VERTICAL LIFT EXPANSION PLAN <br /> <br /> The County of Cabarrus requests proposals to provide professional <br />engineering services which shall include the preparation of a Yertical Lift <br />Expansion Plan for the Cabarrus County Landfill. <br /> <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners has identified the provi- <br />sion of solid waste disposal facilities as one of the primary responsibil- <br />ities of the County. To provide for the disposal needs of its residents, <br />Cabarrus County o~s and operates a sanitary landfill. <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County has purchased additional property previously filled and <br />abandoned many years ago. This property is on site of the current landfill <br />located on Irish Potato Road. Yertical Lift Expansion on this property is <br />very important to the operation of the current landfill regarding space and <br /> <br /> <br />
