Presently~ the IIIC Pcogran has 2~ UIC Clevks/lntervteuers ~ho are currently issuing 2 months of food Instruments to approximately 800 participants per month, ar 3 separate sites (Concord, Kannapolts, and Logan). Issuing on if ti, ere are changes tn purticipants food package, ti it is a participant, and/or if it is a recertification. Uecause of the heavy caseload, many participants have to ~air long periods of tiaa (sometimes up co I hour ~irh saall children la aa area ~here there is insufficient seating). An additional increase in the participant caseload of 103 per ~on~h uill de~tnitely exceed the amoun: of clerical help to issue and increase the participant's uniting tine. Increasing the caseload also geuerates additional paperwork o:her than issuing L~IC food instruments. The addition of a pact-tree iIIC Clerk/tntervteoer loc 16 hours pet ~eek would help reduce the stress the curret~t clerical staff ts expertencing~ decrease the ~aitlng time for partlcipants~ plus allou the Cabacrus County VIC Program to serve ~ore pregxmnt ~omen, Infants, and children eedical and/or nuttltional risk. ~/mps
