Ii, SOLUTION <br /> BY <br /> <br /> CA~ARRUS COUNTY BOARD OF <br /> <br /> WHERSAS, in North Carolina the Lead Regional Organizations, as <br /> voluntary organizations serving municipal and county governments, <br /> haveestablished productive working relationships with the cities <br /> and counties across this state~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the 1991 General Assembly recognized this need <br /> through the appropriation of $864,2?0 to he~p the Lead Regional <br /> Organizations assist lo¢al goverrn~ents with 'grant applications, <br /> ecomomic development, community development, and to support local <br /> industrial davelopment activities and other activities as deemed <br /> appropriate by their local governments~ and <br /> <br /> lrH~REA$, these funds are not intended to be used for payment <br /> of member dues or assessments to a Lead Regional Organization or to <br /> supplant funds appropriated by the member governments~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the event that a re,est is not made by <br /> for release of the~e funds to our Regional Council, <br />the available funds will revert to the State's general fund; and <br /> <br /> in ~egion F funds in the amount of $48,015 will be <br /> WHE~E~S, <br /> used to/for preparation of CDBG applications, strategic planning <br /> programs, regional data book, and other economic development <br /> activities that may deem appropriate~ <br /> <br /> NOW~ TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED~ that the Csbarrus <br />(Board of Commissioners/C~o¥/~b/~) requests the release of its <br />share of these funds, $ ~,849.~3 , to the Centralina Council of <br />Governments at the earliest possible time in accordance with the <br />provisions of Chapter 6S9, House Bill 83 of the 1991 Session Laws. <br /> <br />Witnessed this the 21s~ day of 0=~0Ber , 19 ~1 at <br /> Cabarrus County, N,C. by: <br /> <br /> (Signature) <br /> Cba~rma. z Board of Co=tss/oners (Title) <br /> <br /> (Signature) <br />Clerk to the Board (Title) (SEAL) <br />L26?.A <br /> <br /> <br />
