Vehicles purchased after August 27, 1990, for use in a demand <br /> responsive system by a municipal parks and recreation department, <br /> must be readily accessible unless equivalent alternative service <br /> is available for people with disabilities. <br /> <br /> 2. Title II requirements are effective for all municipal parks and <br /> recreation agencies and State governments on January 26, 1992. <br />I <br /> 3. The required designation of a responsible employee, internal <br /> complaint procedure, and public notice must be in place and <br /> continually operational by January 26, 1992. <br /> <br /> 4. The required self-evaluation of programs, services, and <br /> activities should be started as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> Nunicipal parks and recreation departments may not discriminate <br /> on the basis of disability in any employment action as of July <br /> 26, 1992. <br /> <br /> Structural changes and architectural barrier removal projects <br /> must be identified and described in a transition plan not later <br /> than July 26, 1992. <br /> <br /> 7.
