VISION CABLE OF METROLINA
Annual Report

As the decade of the 80's comes to a close, Vision Cable is pleased to
provide a retrospective of its impact and accomplishments to the community.

The entertainment value of cable has grown to include high quality, diverse
programming, many targeted to specific interest or demographic groups. These
additions include:

Nine Basic channels. These channels feature some of the most highly acc!ai~sd
program offerings such as Lifetime, TNT and Nickelodeon.

Four Premium Service programs (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Disney) are offered at
an additional $9.95 per month. The more Premium services ordered, the lower'
the cost of each.

Quality informational services are provided to our subscribers through CNN
News, Discovery, The Weather Channel and Lifetime.

Vision's own TV-13 is now available five hours per evening, 5 nights a week.

The inclusion (in 1990) of a pay-per-view channel, specializing in sports
and entertainment programs offered as exclusive events.

Vision has experienced tremendous growth. We now have more than 800 miles of
cable, and reach almost 40,000 households. In our community 62% receive
their television through Vision Cable. Prior to March 17, 1980, there
were no cable subscribers in our community.

As the decade moved forward and Vision became a more integral part of our
community, our commitment to public service grew as well. A few major
examples are:

- The Salvation Army
- The Red Cross
- Boys' Club
- Speeial Olympics
- American Cancer Society
- Crimestopper's
- Toys for Tots
- Cabarrus Memorial Hospital

We also belong to the Chamber of Commerce, and are committee members of
Share Cabarrus and Kannapolis Spring-Fever Fest and serve on the boards of
the YMCA and Crimestoppers.
