COMMISSION RELEASES MAP, Page Two The Cdmmission is presenting its second statewide exclusionary map during its monthly ~eport to the Environmental Review Commission on Friday, February 16, 1990. The map will also be presented at 7:00 p.m., prior to each public hearing being held March 20 - March 27. These publio hearings are being held to invite public comment on the Commission's third and final set of site selection criteria. The public hearings will be held at the following locations: March 20, 1990, 7:30 p.m. Reidsville Sr. High School 1901S. Park Drive Reidsville, NC 27320 March 21, 1990, ?:30 p.m. MCNC Auditorium 3021 Cornwallis Road Researoh Triangle Park, NC 27709 March 22, 1990, 7:30 p.m. Johnston County Courthouse Superior Court Room, 2nd Floor 212 Market Street Smithfield, NC 27577 March 27, 1990, 7:30 p.m. Randolph Co~u~unity College Auditorium 629 Industrial Park Avenue Asheboro, NC 27203 The Commission expects to issue a third statewtde map prior to designating suitable areas in which to locate the facility,- The Commission is charged by the General Assembly with locating a suitable site for a hazardous waste facility for the state, According to a Regional Agreement approved by the Legislature on December 7, 1989, the state must designate suitable sites for a facility by May, 1990.
