First res~onders will be controlled under all current FCC and <br /> Cabarrus County Fire Department radio procedures. <br /> <br />Section 7: Standards for Dispatch. <br /> <br /> 1. Cabarrus County first responder agencies will respond on a <br /> 24 hour basis. <br /> <br /> 2. Cabarrus County Communications will dispatch first responders to <br /> respond to accidental or medical emergencies. <br /> <br /> 3. The first responder agency or individual will not respond to any <br /> calls for assistance unless they notify the Cabarrus County <br /> Communications Center. <br /> <br /> Any calls received personally by a first responder agency or <br /> individual must be reported first to the Cabarrus County <br /> Communications Center before first responders respond to the call. <br /> <br /> 5. The first responder or agency will only be dispatched to emergency <br /> situations in their de'slgnated first responder area -- unless an <br /> emergency situation arises elsewhere in the county where their <br /> assistance will be needed. <br /> <br /> 6. No first responder or agency will be allowed to cancel a <br /> dispatched ambulance unless a patient release has been obtained by <br /> the first responder or unless the call is unfounded, l~ mn <br /> ambslance is cancelled, the person cancelling must id,nelly <br /> him/herself. <br /> <br /> / 7.
