Newt~hTPlanning and Zoning Director <br /> DATE: May 29, 1990 <br /> suBJECT: Road Name Change (Petition 89-90-05) <br /> <br /> The following road has been petitioned by its residents to be named. The <br /> naming of this road will require a public hearing prior to official action. <br /> <br /> Unnamed Road to Russette Lane <br /> <br /> I am aware the normal procedure for street sign installation requires three <br /> occupied dwellings, however, in this situation there are only two. Mr. <br /> Bessettee (one of two property owners on this road) is handicapped, and no <br /> mail box or house number for his residence is .on Flowes Store Road. <br /> <br /> our staff has discuSsed this matter with him, and feels that this situation <br /> with no street name or mail box could cause problems in emergency situations <br /> (i.e. fire or ambulance calls). <br /> <br /> Though this is not normal procedure for street sign installation, this situation <br /> should provide an exception to the three house policy. <br /> <br /> I would like to request that the public hearing be scheduled at the June 18, 1990 <br /> Commissioners meeting, along with the other two street name petitions. <br /> <br /> If you have any questions on this request, please let me know. <br /> Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. <br /> pcc <br /> <br /> <br />
