Box 707 <br /> Concord, NC 28025 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Ruffin: <br /> <br /> The Serenity House Board of Directors are requesting a one time <br /> appropriation of $12,000 for FY89/90. This money is needed for <br /> operational purposes. We have been forced to increase staff <br /> salaries in order to bring them~ in line with salaries of other <br /> residential treatment facilities statewide. This cost us $10,000. <br /> Our group insurance increased by $5,000. These were expenditures <br /> that the Board approved in anticipation of revenues that were never <br /> received. We realize our mistake was in approving these <br /> expenditures before revenues were in hand. Steps have been <br /> taken to avoid this happening again. <br /> <br /> We are pleased to inform you that we will not be making a request <br /> for funding for FYg0/91.
