Board <br /> Members preseot in addition to Chairman Randall were, Mr. Howard Hurlocker, <br /> Mr. Edward Moose and Mr. Louis Suther. Attending from the Planning and Zoning <br /> Department were Mr. Gerald A. Newton, Director, Mr. Mike Downs, Zoning <br /> Administrator, Mr. Jonathan Marsllall, Ms~ Sue Russell and Ms. Phyllis C. Carr. <br /> Also attending was Mr. Gordon L. gelD, Attorney for tile Planning Board. <br /> <br /> With there being no corrections to the April 18, 1990 Minutes, Mr. Moose <br /> MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Hurlocker to approve the minutes as mailed. <br /> The vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> Chairman Randall stated to the citizens that the Planning Board is an advisory <br /> commi[tee and they only make recommendations to the County Commissioners on <br /> rezoniogs. The County Colmissioners will discuss all issues on June 18, 1990, <br /> at 7:00 P.M., and riley will make all final decisions on rezonings. <br /> <br /> Chairman Randall introduced the first item on the Agenda, Zoning Atlas Amendments: <br /> <br /> 1. Applicant: Fred and Joyce Heint~ <br /> Request: Rezonino of Property from ARR to C-q <br /> <br /> This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning Board from Fred and <br /> Joyce Iteintz to have their property off Cold Springs Road rezoned from <br /> ARR to C-~, in order to permit the continued use oF a cmmercial building <br /> on the property. <br /> <br /> Staff Member, Jonathan Marshall, presented the Staff Analysis. <br /> <br /> Chairman Randall asked Mr. Marshall if the property owner can continue <br /> to operate his/her business as a non-conforming use if the petition is <br /> denied. <br /> <br /> Mr. Marshall stated no, it would have to be the original use when zoning <br /> was enacted. And since thag use is no longer in business, they would have <br /> to meet the requirements of the ANR zone. <br /> <br /> <br />
