Schedule trainee's work to allow the trainee to attend <br />professional development seminars scheduled by the University. These will <br />m~,ount to no more than 12 days over ~he entire traineeship period. <br /> <br /> g. Work with the ~PA Program faculty in helping the trainee <br />integrate classroom learning with professional work assignments. <br /> <br /> h. Request removal from the training program by the University <br />of any student failing to observe the Agency's policies and procedures. <br /> <br /> 3. UN~VF~SITY R£SPONSIBILITIE$ <br /> <br /> a. Designate as trainee for the Program, with the concurrence <br />of the Agency representative, a student enrolled in the MPA Program who has <br />completed at least 38 hours of graduate course work. <br /> <br /> b. Insure that the trainee continues to make normal progress <br />in the MPA Program, and that the trainee is advised as to all applicable rules <br />and regulations through regular contact with the faculty of the University. <br /> <br /> c. Inform the student of any special requirements of the <br />Agency as communicated to the University. <br /> <br /> d, Provide professional development seminars and academic <br />counseling to enhance the trainee's performance of Agency assignments. <br /> <br /> e. Counsel the tgatnee if and when the trainee's performance <br />is not acceptable to the Agency. <br /> <br /> f. Give assistance (as requested) to the Agency in designing <br />work experiences for the trainee. <br /> <br /> g. Disburse the stipend to the trainee on a monO~ly basis as <br />provided in Attachment A (Budget). <br /> <br /> <br />
