SECTION ll. INDF~I~Y AND I~$UR~NCg: Each franchised ambulance service provider shall indemnify and save harmless the COunty, its agents and employees and assigns from and against all loss, cost, damages, expense and liability caused by an accident or other occurrence resulting in bodily injury, including death, sickness and disease to any person, or damage or destruction to property, real or personal, arising directly or indirectly from operations, products or services rendered pursuant to such franchise. Each franchised'ambulance service provider shall maintain the following policies of insurance in amounts not less than those prescribed herein. The County is to be included in these policies as an additional named insured and is to be provided a certificate of insurance which names the County as a certificate holder and which provides that the County shall be given thirty (30) days prior written notice of any change in coverage or modification or cancellation of any policy or policies shown on the certificate. These policies must include, but are not limited to: (a) Automobile liability insurance coverage for owned, hirsd and non-owned vehicles in an amount of not less than $300,000.00 per person and $500,000.00 per accident for bodily injury and $50,000.00 per accident for property damage. (b) Comprehensive general liability insurance coverage for the activities and services provided pursuant to this franchise in an amount not less than $500,000.00 per occuzrence. This insurance shall include coverage for products, completed operations and contractual liability assumed under the indemnity provisions of this ordinance. (c) Ambulance attendants errors and omissions coverage (including malpractice) in an amount not less than $1,D00,000.D0 per occurrence for all attendants while on duty. (d) Workers compensation and occupational disease insurance meeting the statutory requirements of the State of North Carolina including employee liability insurance in an amount of not less than $100,000.00. All insurance limits specified herein are subject to change at the discretion of the County.
