SECTION ll. INDF~I~Y AND I~$UR~NCg: <br /> <br /> Each franchised ambulance service provider shall indemnify <br /> and save harmless the COunty, its agents and employees and <br /> assigns from and against all loss, cost, damages, expense and <br /> liability caused by an accident or other occurrence resulting in <br /> bodily injury, including death, sickness and disease to any <br /> person, or damage or destruction to property, real or personal, <br /> arising directly or indirectly from operations, products or <br /> services rendered pursuant to such franchise. <br /> <br /> Each franchised'ambulance service provider shall maintain <br />the following policies of insurance in amounts not less than <br />those prescribed herein. The County is to be included in these <br />policies as an additional named insured and is to be provided a <br />certificate of insurance which names the County as a certificate <br />holder and which provides that the County shall be given thirty <br />(30) days prior written notice of any change in coverage or <br />modification or cancellation of any policy or policies shown on <br />the certificate. These policies must include, but are not <br />limited to: <br /> <br /> (a) Automobile liability insurance coverage for owned, <br /> hirsd and non-owned vehicles in an amount of not less <br /> than $300,000.00 per person and $500,000.00 per <br /> accident for bodily injury and $50,000.00 per accident <br /> for property damage. <br /> <br /> (b) Comprehensive general liability insurance coverage for <br /> the activities and services provided pursuant to this <br /> franchise in an amount not less than $500,000.00 per <br /> occuzrence. This insurance shall include coverage for <br /> products, completed operations and contractual <br /> liability assumed under the indemnity provisions of <br /> this ordinance. <br /> <br /> (c) Ambulance attendants errors and omissions coverage <br /> (including malpractice) in an amount not less than <br /> $1,D00,000.D0 per occurrence for all attendants while <br /> on duty. <br /> <br /> (d) Workers compensation and occupational disease insurance <br /> meeting the statutory requirements of the State of <br /> North Carolina including employee liability insurance <br /> in an amount of not less than $100,000.00. <br /> <br /> All insurance limits specified herein are subject to change <br />at the discretion of the County. <br /> <br /> <br />
