On August 23rd, three consultant fir~s were interviewed by the <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission. £ach firm <br />vas provided thirty minutes to present their firm's experience; scope <br />of work; and etc. The Advisory Commission approved to zeco~end Woolpert <br />Consultants of Charlotte to provide their Haster Plan for Cabarrus County; <br />~oolper£~ proposed fee schedule was a total cost of ~29,700.00; Cabarrus <br />County was able to negotiate this fee to fit within the approved budget <br />of ~27~000.00 by the staff providing Woolpert Consultants with written <br />inventor~ of the existing and potential parks and recreation facilities <br />sites in Cabarrus County. A photographic (3$HH slides) inventory of <br />existing facilities would also he prepared by the County staff, <br /> <br /> ~oolpert Consultants firm is qualified in parks and recreation <br />master planning with recent experiences in completing the plans for <br />Brunswick, Orange and Cleveland Counties in North Carolina. Hanaging <br />the study process~ developing a realistic project schedule and <br />coordinating public involvement are skills ~oolpert Consultants process <br />that will assist in development of a valid Haster Plan for the County. <br /> <br /> <br />
