Woolpefl Consultants will organize and participate in a third work-in-progress meeting <br /> with the Project Team to review the work to be prepared in Component Three. The <br /> Project Team will evaluate current recrea6on programs and park facilities, develop <br /> recreation sh~ndards to be followed with the M~ter Plan, and a~sess the Cab~rrus County <br /> commun/ty's recreational needs. <br /> <br />B. Woolpert Consultant~ will provide the technical a.~istance required to prepare a public <br /> forum to solicit public commen~ on recreational needs. Woolpert Consul~nts proposes <br /> the input from the public be taken through an informational booth established at the <br /> Caban'us County Fab' in September 1990. An evaluation of community awareness of the <br /> programs and services of the parks and recreation agencies in the County will be <br /> prepared from the input. <br /> <br />C. Woolpert Consultants will prepare written recommended recreation, park facility and <br /> open space standards developed specifically for Cabarrus County. The standards will be <br /> guided by those sh~ndards established by the National Recreation and Park Association <br /> and the State of North Carolina. Woolpert Consultants will also prepare a comparison <br /> of existing (a) outdoor recreation program facilities, (b) public open space and park <br /> areas, and (c) indoor recreation facilities with these Cabarrus County standards to <br /> determine unmet recreational needs. <br /> <br />D. Woolpert Consultants will identify the unmet recreai/onal needg within Cabarrus County <br /> and a description of the nature of such needs. <br /> <br />E. Woolpert Consultants will evaluate the current administration, stuffing, program activities <br /> and funding for the Parks and Recreation Department in comparison with recommended <br /> standards for the administration and operation of parks and recreation depa.,~ments. <br /> <br />l~k's a~d Recreation Adv/so~ Commission <br /> <br />A. "Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission will participate in the third Project Team <br /> work-in-progress meeting. <br /> <br />B. Pa~ks and Recreation Advisory Commission will provide a summary evaluation of <br /> Component Two of the Plan. <br /> <br />C. Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission will p~tlcipate in the solicitation of public <br /> comment at the informational booth established at the Cabarrus County Fair. -' <br /> <br /> <br />
