D~STR~CT COURT D~V1SION

August 20, 1990

Mr. Mike Ruffin
Cabarrus County Manager
Post Office Box ?07
Concord, North Carolina 28026

Dear Mike:

On October 29, 1990, I will be initiating a new
education program here at the Cabarrus County Courthouse
called Meet the Courts and Law Enforcement 1990. There will
be approximately 75 participants in the program - 15
students chosen from each of Cabarrus County's four high
schools and 15 students from A. L. Brown High School. The
purpose of the program is to introduce the students to our
local court system and law enforcement. A copy of the
tentative program is enclosed.

As I have indicated to you in earlier conversations, I
am requesting the county to provide a simple lunch for
around 80-85 participants and teachers at the new
Governmental Center. We also plan to conduct part of the
program in the Governmental Center assuming we have the
commissioners' approval.

Please advise me if the county will be able to assist
in providing the lunch for this program!

Sincerely,

Adam C.
