The Center agrees to meet vith Purchaser one time per quarter (or <br /> more frequently, if requested) to evaluate respite setwice program <br /> operation and quality of service. Meetings shall be scheduled at <br /> the convenience of the Purchaser and the Center. All finits of <br /> service shall meet the required minimum service standards as adopted <br /> and i~plemented by Eorth Carolina Division of Aging. <br /> <br />9. She Center shall furnish the Purchaser with a monthly program report <br /> which includes the d~te and time of service and a request for payment <br /> of units of service delivered. Such reports shall be furnished within <br /> three (3) ~orking days after the end of each month. Request for <br /> payment must be itemized into units of set, ice. <br /> <br /> 10. Interest of the Center. The Center covenants that neither the Center <br /> nor its agents or employees presently has au interest nor shall <br /> acquire an interest, direct or indirect, ;,bach conflicts in any <br /> banner or degree with the performance of its service hereunder, or <br /> whicb would prevent, or tend to prevent the satisfactory performance <br /> of the Center*s service hereunder, in an impartial and unbiased <br /> manner. The Center further covenants that in the performance of this <br /> contract no person having any such interest shall be employed by the <br /> as an agent, subcontractor or othe~ise. <br /> <br /> 11. Interest of ~ember of the Program and Others. No off,eec, member or <br /> employee of the Program, and no public official of any local <br /> government which is affected in any ~ay by the Program, uno exercises <br /> any function or responsibilities in the review of the Program or any <br /> component thereof, shsll participate in any deeisions relating to <br /> chis cc:tract ;'hath affects his/her personal interest or the interest <br /> of any corporation, p~r~nership or association in vbich he/she is, <br /> direct]y or indirectly interested; nor shall ~ny ~uch person have an7 <br /> interest, direct or indirect, in this contract o the proceeds <br /> arising therfrom. <br /> <br />12. Officials Not to Benefit.. No member of or delegate to the Congress <br /> for the United States of America, resident Commissioner or employee <br /> of the United States Government, shall be entitled to any share or <br /> part of this contract or any benefits to arise herefrom. <br /> <br />13. Equal Employment Opportunity. <br /> <br /> (a) ~he Center shall not discriminate against any employee applicant <br /> for employment or subcontractor because of race, color, handicap, <br /> religion, age, sex or national origin. The Center shall take <br /> affir;ative action to insure that applicants are employed and <br /> subcontractors (subcontractors must be mutually approved) ara <br /> selected, and that employees are treated equally during employment, <br /> without regard to their race, color, handicap, religion, age, sex or <br /> national origin.
