Applicant: Harvey~ Barrow and Fink <br /> Request: Rezoninq of Property from R-15 and C-3 to <br /> <br /> Thie was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning <br /> Board from Harvey, Barrow And Fink to have their <br /> property off Poplar Tent Road and Eva Drive rezoned <br /> from R-15 and C-3 to C-3, to have zoning conform to use <br /> and allow sign replacement. <br /> <br /> Staff Member, Jonathan Marshall, presented the Staff <br /> Analysis. <br /> <br /> Chairman Randall opened the Public Hearing on Petition 90-14 <br /> asking if anyoae would like to speak for or against this <br /> petition. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Scerbrough, At~ore. ey, represented the <br /> petitioners stating the property in question for <br /> rezoning is a service station that has been there for <br /> <br /> petroleum station, but British Petroleum purchased the <br /> Gulf stations. The station owners ere required to <br /> change the sign from Gulf to BP, this is when the <br /> petitioners discovered part of the property was zoned <br /> residential. Mr. Scarbrough stated that is the reason <br /> why the petitioners would like to have the property <br /> rezoned. <br /> <br /> Chairman Randall closed the Public Hearing on Petition <br /> 90-1q, askin9 the Board if they had any discussion or <br /> motions to make on this petition. <br /> <br /> There being no comments, Chairman Randall MOTIONED to <br /> approve petition 90-1¢, seconded by Mr. Moose. The <br /> vote was unanimous. <br /> <br /> <br />
