This ia the housing of Federal Prisoners. <br />When we opene~t the n~ Jail ~in~ ~ entered into an a~re~n~ ~lth <br />the U.S. M~shalls service to house up to 20 of their Federal <br />pretrial detainees. ~nder thi~ ~r~g~ent we house ~h~ i~tes <br />for a fee of $24.00 ~r day ~r i~ate with all me,ica1 and other <br />e~nsee re~ursed to the <br />generate $75,436.00 ~n une~ted revenue for C~arrus County. We <br />have also been re~ursed $5385.05 for~dical e~nsee ~n~rred <br />by the Federal prisoners. This i~ for part o~ Nov~er up unt~l <br />the end of June 1990. It 18 ~ticipated that during the next <br />fiscal year we will be ~le to generate close to $150,000.00 <br />revenue for C~arrus County ~ust ~rom th~ F~eral Prisoner con- <br />fin~ent <br /> <br /> i ho~ that this <br />assessing tbs validity of what <br />was re,eating authority to o~n the Jail F~d Series. Some of <br />you had some serious reservations ~ut whether or not I could do <br />what I said I couZd with the Food $e~ice. We have not been ~le <br />to save as much money as I had exacted due to the lower than <br />exacted n~e~8 of i~atee being fed meals each day.
