NCACC Conference Bulletin Important Registration Information for 1990 Legislative Goals Conference December 12-13, 1990 Pinehurst (Moore County), N.C. ABOUT THE CONFERENCE The 1990 Legislative Goals Conference of the N.C. Association of County Commissioners will be held on D~cember 12-13, 1990, at the world-famous Pinehu.~t Hotel and Country Club in Pinehu~l, N.C. The hotel will be all decked out for Chrisunas and guests can enjoy shopping in the Pinehurst area. The purpose of the Legislative Goals Conference is to bring together county officials from across the stale lo vote on proposed legi~lzdve goals for the 1991 and 1992 sessions of the General Assembly. A package of proposed goals will be mailed out to county officials about two weeks prior to the Conference. Voting delegates will be selected by each county to yom on the goals. However, even if you are not a voting delegat6, you are urged to attend the conference and participate in discussions of issues. ABOUT THE PINEIIURST HOTEL & COUNTRY CLUB The Pinehurst Hotel and Counto, Club is famous for its hospitality and old South charm. It is a unique facility and there are several items you ~hould keep in mind: 1. Official cbeck-ln time is NOT UlqTIL 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is NOON. However, it is very likely that rooms will be available for check-in much earlier. There w'~ll be lime to check in between the meeting and the me, pti.on (between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.) 2. Note that a service charge of 15% w;_ll be added to your room upon check-out, so you should NOT tip bellmen or restaurant srrvers. 3. Your room rate of $91 single or .$65 per person double includes breakfast and dinner. Thus, when you pay :$130 total for two people in a room, a portion of that amount goes toward the cost of your meals, including the banquet oo Dec. 12. 4. The purchase of meal tickets for the banquet is required only for those people slaying outside of the hotel. You v,~ll be asked to present proof that you are staying in the hotel or to present tickets. The cost of the reception prior to dinner and all coffe,' brews is included in your registration fee. 5. With regard to other mt. als at the hotel, the holel has a full break-fast buffet in the Carolina Dining Room. /fyo~ arrive on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and plan to eat dinner in the Dining Room, please NOTE that gentlemen must wear jackets for dinner (ties arc optional). HOTEL RESERVATIONS A hotel reserv~on form is euclosed that you should return to Pinehurst Hotel by November 11, 1990. Aft~ that date., the ~ooms will be tells.gal to thc public and you will not be able to get the lower ra~ of $91 single and $65 per l~rson double occupancy (thee rates include breakfast and dinner).
