RESERVATIONS FOR NEW COMMISSIONERS Even though newly elected commissioners do not take office until Dec. 3, it is suggested that you make hotel reservations for new commissioners as soon as they are determined on Nov. 6. Some may be determined ah-cody if there is no opposition. You can cancel these reservations until November 27 without Pehalty. It is a good idea to inform candidates of the Legislative Goals Conference now so that they can get it on their calendars. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION A separate Conference Registration form has been enclosed which should be completed and returned to the Association by November 2?, 1990. Your spouse/guest v,~ll not have to pay a registration fee, but will have to pay to attend the reception. If you ate a guest of the hotel, you and/or your spouse do NOT have to buy a banquet ticket since that is included in your hotel costs. Those commuting or staying at another facility will have to buy banquet tickets by filling out that pan of the attached form. VOTING DELEGATES Enclosed in the county manager's mailing is a voting delegate designation form which should 1~ ~igned by the official selected by your county to be the voting delegate at the Legislative Goals Conference. Please return this form to us no later than November 27, 19901 NOTE THAT VOTING DELEGATES MUST BE SERVING AS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AS OF DECEMBER 3, 1990. Thus, any changes in voting delegates due to the election should be made on-site at the Conference registration desk. · . GOLF INFORMATION: A sheet is enclosed for you and/or family members to sign up to play golf on Pinehurst Course #7 on Wednesday morning, Dec. 12, before the Legislative Goals Session begins. The tee-off times are slated for 8:45 a.m., but you are asked to be at the golf registration area by 8:15 a.m. Course #7 is the newest of Pinehurst's courses and considered one of the two most popular. Please return the form by November 2?, 1990. GOLF' CANCELLATION POLICY You must cancel your sinning time at least 24 hou~ ahead of time or you will be charged for the fees anyway. Please notify th'- golf office of cancellatin~ by calling Pinehurst 1-800-458~,711. If you wish to play another course or play at a different time, you may call the Pinehurst Country Club di~extl~ at 1-800-458-4711. You may make these arrangements anytime afler October 11 aM before December 6~ 1990. However, you must be a registered hotel guest prior to mak'~ng these an'angements as they will ask for your r~e~,ation number. GOLF FEES: Green fees am as follows: COURSE #7--S50 per person COURSE #2--S60 per person ALL OTHER COURSES--S35 per person CART I:EES--SI3 per person OTHER RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES: Tennis, skeet and trap shooting, horseback tiding, biking and croquet also are available. Families also can take carriage fides around the facility. Call the hotel at 1-800-672-4644 to make tennis, shooting and horseback riding arrangements in advance.
