Box 707
Concord, North Carolina 98026-0707

Oear Mike:

The EFNEP Program (Expanded Food and Nutrition Educational Program) provided a
grant in 1988 to Cabarrus County to purchase equipment and supplies to enhance the
EFNEP activities in this county. The program was discontinued in Cabarrus County on
October 31, 1990. All unused funds of this grant have been transferred back to the
state.

I have a request from Or. Martha Johnson, Assistant Oirector and State Leader,
Home Economics, NC State University, and Dr. Ngaire M. van Eck, EFNEP. Coordinator,
Ng State University, to have certain equipment and supplies that were purchased and
used under this grant program transferred to Mecklenburg County where the EFNEP
Program is still in effect. I am attaching copy of letter requesting this transfer.

This is a request to have the equipment released from Cabarrus County inventory
in order to make this transfer as requested. I would appreciate your co-operation in
this matter.

Sincerely yours,

County £xteffsion Oirector
Cabarrus County

AMS/cch

Attachment

cc: Dr. Martha Johnson Or.
