Besolution Establishin~ Written Exemption <br /> of Particular Contracts for the Procurement of <br /> m Architectural, Engineering, and Surveying Services <br /> Pursuant to Section 143-64.32(b) of the <br /> General Statutes of North Carolina <br /> ! <br /> 1. W~EREAS, upon motion on June 17, 1985, the Board of <br /> <br /> m Commissioners of Cabarrus County (hereinafter "the Board"), <br /> <br /> authorized the Count~.Manager to contact three or more firms to <br /> m enter into competitive negotiations, to select a consultant to <br /> <br /> m prepare a site selection plan, an environmental impact study, and <br /> an airport master plan for a proposed general aviation airport as <br /> <br /> m authorized by Chapter 63 of the General Statutes; <br /> <br /> 2. ~EREAS, on or about June 17, 1985, the Cabarrus County <br /> m Manager invited proposals pursuant to the Board's resolution of <br /> <br /> i June 17, 1985, from eight potentially qualified professional <br /> services firms -- five in North Carolina, two in Georgia, and one <br /> <br /> I in'South Carolina; <br /> 3. W~EREAS, on September 16, 1985, the Cabarrus County <br /> m Manage= reported to the Board the recommendation of the selection <br /> <br /> i of a firm from the five responding, for an Airport Feasibility <br /> Study for Cabazrus County at a cost of $44,908, with prospects of <br /> <br /> i a 50/50 matching grant from the Aviation Division of the North <br /> <br /> Carolina Department of Transportation, and further made <br />m appropriate recommendations to the Board on the scope of the <br /> <br /> m study; <br /> 4. I(I{EREAS, on September 16, 1985, the Board, upon motion, <br /> <br /> m awarded the contract for the Airport Feasibility Study to Wilbur <br /> <br />! <br /> <br /> <br />
