Cochra~, Jr., P.E. {7IM) 782-145~ PROPOSAL FOR ENGINEERING SERt)ICES June 13, 1989 Part I - Investiqation and Report (if necessary) The Engineer will investigate, review, consult, develop reports, file forms or attend conferences for the Owner for hie proposed needs which may include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following principal items: 1. Consult with the Owner to determine Owner's requirements and to advise the Owner as to the necessity of providing or obtaining services from others of types mentioned in Part 2. a study of the needs of the population trends, proposed improvements, existing records and plans, and their effect on the present and future fasilities. 3. A preliminary layout of the proposed improvements, including sizes and locations of the proposed facilities. 4. Recommendations relative to the development of the preliminary layout, use of material or alternate solutions will be made of the proposed facilities. 5. A preliminary cost estimate of the proposed program. 6. The coordination of the proposed system with applicable local, state, and/or federal regulatory agencies. It is mutually understood that assistance will be given by the Owner in the preliminary investigations, and that the Engineer will have access to records and necessary financial data available in the municipal offices concerning the proposed facilities. For these services the Engineer will be paid by the Owner on an hourly rate as indicated in Part IV, Number 9. Part II - Detailed Plans and Specifications When the Owner decides to proceed Hith ~he final design phase of the project and notifies the Engineer to proceed, the Engineer will perform the following services, if desired by Owner: 1. Prepare complete construction plans and specifications, in conjunction wit~ Cabaryus County staff with usg of Cabarrus County facilities and materials.
