concerning nonconformities except that Class II <br />nonconformities will not be amortized. All signage created <br />and erected after the adoption of the rewrite is obviously <br />under the provisions of it and must conform to the standards <br />set forth herein. <br /> <br /> The following rules and regulations apply to both Class <br />I and Class II nonconformities. <br /> <br /> [1) Any structural alteration of e nonconforming sign <br />or sign structure shall make that sign conform to the <br />regulations of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> (2) All non-conforming signs with a change in ese will <br />be removed from the premises or brought into conformance. <br /> <br /> (3) Any nonconforming sign advertising or identifying <br />any building which is vacant for a period of one (1) year <br />shell be altered to conform to the regulations of this <br />ordinance. <br /> <br /> (43 Any nonconforming off-site advertising sign vacant <br />over a one hundred eighty (180) day period of time shall be <br />removed. <br /> <br /> [5) All signs of a portable nature or with flashing or <br />intermittent lights shall be removed within one hundred <br />eighty (180) days of the passage of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> (6) Any nonconforming sign damaged by any means over <br />sixty [60) percent of the assessed valuation at the time of <br />d~mage, shall either be removed or altered in a manner to <br />conform with the regulations of this ordinance. <br /> <br /> The following amortization schedule applies to Class I <br />nonconformities only: <br /> <br /> Assessed Valuation Must Conform Within <br /> <br /> Less than $2,000.00 3 years from the effective <br /> dale of the adoption of <br /> the t982 ordinance <br /> <br /> S2,000.00 - $4,000.00 4 years from the effective <br /> date of the adoption of <br /> the 1982 ordinance <br /> <br /> $4,001.00 - $8,000.00 5 years from the effective <br /> date of the adoption of <br /> the 1982 ordinance <br /> <br /> $8,001.00 - and over 6 years from the effective <br /> date of the adoption of <br /> the 1982 ordinance <br /> <br /> <br />
