Cook, Jr. <br /> ~ [~- ','~/)irector <br /> July 13, 1989 ~\~ <br /> <br /> TO: Mike Ruffin, County Manager <br /> FROM: Jim Cook, Social Services Direc <br /> SUBJECT: Contracts With Private Agencies~ <br /> <br /> Attached are versions of the contract forms we have used with Meals on <br /> Wheels, CVANand Cooperative Christian Ministry in recent years in relation <br /> to their County appropriations which we have updated for use in FY 89-90. <br /> <br /> When we first drafted these, they were reviewed and approved by <br /> Fletcher Hartsell. <br /> <br /> Though not mentioned in the contract form, we have by agreement with <br /> these agencies, had them send the Department here minutes of their board <br /> meetings (exclusive of executiwe session materials) as often as they are <br /> available as a way for the County to remain informed about the ongoing <br /> operation of their programs. <br /> <br /> We have tried in the past to have these executed prior to the end of <br /> July when initial payments are made. If you wish to have me transmit these <br /> to the agencies, I would need to have them back with some lead time. It <br /> would be fine with me, however, for you to include them with correspondence <br /> I understand you plan to have with the agencies regarding their <br /> appropriations. If you do this, please ask them to return two executed <br /> originals to me so that I can sign. <br /> <br /> Please let me know if I can assist further. <br /> <br /> Thank you. <br /> <br /> <br />
