Where the <br />utility companies' lines are above the ground, FCNC will construct <br />aerial cable, provided there is no conflict in clearance on the <br />utility companies' poles. FCNC will meet all technical <br />requirements of the FCC, the National Electrical Code, National <br />Electrical Safety Code, state and local codes. <br /> <br />To build the system, FCNC will hire contractors to perform the <br />initial construction process and for the initial installation of <br />cable service. Ongoing maintenance of the system will be provided <br />by the local FCNC staff. Buford Television, Inc., has a full-time <br />highly qualified engineer who supports the technical staff at the <br />individual subsidiary levels. He will be very involved in the <br />initial construction phases and the ongoing operation of the cable <br />system in your area. <br /> <br /> 4. PROPOSED RATES <br /> <br />FCNC plans to implement the following rate schedule: <br /> <br /> Basic Service: $14.95 per month <br /> Pay Service: 9.95 per month <br /> ($1.00 discount for two pay services; $2.00 discount for <br /> all three) <br /> Remote Converter: 2.95 each per month <br /> Additional Outlets: 3.50 each per month <br /> Installation: 10.00 for initial install <br /> 20.00 thereafter <br /> <br />A copy of a Customer Agreement is attached as Exhibit "A". <br /> <br /> 5. FINANCIAL QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />The applicant, Friendship Cable of North Carolina, Inc.~, was <br />established in December 1988. Because this is a start-up company <br />and is not yet active, financial statements are not available and <br />would not properly reflect the financial viability of Friendship <br />Cable of North Carolina, Inc.
