Il <br /> <br /> With tile elimination of Bid Unit #3, I compared the four bid pro[~osals, <br />for Bid Unit,#1 - Coitrane Webb Playground and Bid Unit #2 Beverly Hills <br />Playground. In the general bid specifications it states · that Cabarrus <br />Connty is fully cognizant that no two pieces of playground equipment from <br />different manufacturers are the same. Therefore, playground equipment <br />that is similar and/or same in size, functions, etc. had to be listed and <br />explanations provided. All four vendors provided descriptive information <br />and papers for their bid proposals. The following are totals of these <br />fonr bids in units #1 and #2: <br /> <br /> l. Clayton Company $t8,144,36 <br /> 2. llunter Knepshield 18,288.81 <br /> 3. Cunningham Associates 18,822.00 <br /> 4. Landscape Structnres 22,464.00 <br /> <br />After careful study and review, I would like to recommend to the <br />Cabarrus Board of County Commissioners to award this bid to Clayton Company <br />for Bid Unit #t - $8~869.92, Bid Unit ~2 - $9,274.44, and add Alternate <br />#1 - $2,800.00 - Total $20,944.36. <br /> <br /> Thank you and the Board of Commissioners for your cooperation and <br />consideration concerning thi~ request. <br /> <br /> <br />
