CURRENT POLICY (SEWER) <br /> <br /> Section XVI. Sewer Charges. <br /> <br /> (a) Fees: The following charges for sewer service are adopted and <br /> made effective as of the date of ibis ordinance applicable to all sewer <br /> service on the Cabarrus Coanty system. These charges shall consist of a <br /> discharge permit fee plus the appropriate tapping fees as shown below: <br /> <br /> Type of Service Size of Service Discharge Permit Fee _Tapping Fee <br /> <br /> Residential 4" $250 Ail material, <br /> eqnip. & labor <br /> <br /> Residential 6" and larger $250 per house- Ail alaterial, <br /> bold unit equip. & labor <br /> <br /> Commercial/ All sizes $1500 Ali material, <br /> Industrial equip. & labor <br /> <br /> (b) Sewer Rates <br /> <br /> (1) Tho volume of flow used in computing residential or commercial <br /> waste shall be based open metered water consumption. Where the person <br /> discharging wastes, other than industrial waste, iato the sanitary sewers <br /> of Cabarrus County, procures all or part of bis water suppiy from sources <br /> other than the Board, all or part of which is discharged in the sanitary <br /> sewer, the person discharging said waste shall install anti maint~in, at <br /> bis expease, a water meter of a type approved by tim Board, for the <br /> purpose of determiaiag the proper volume of flow to be charged. <br /> <br /> Charges for tim sewer service shall be computed according to the <br /> prevailing sewer rate of $1.50'per 1~00 gallons. Said charges shall be <br /> paid at the Tax Collector's office on or before the 10th of each month. <br /> Second notices will be mailed to all unpaid accounts not paid by the 25th <br /> of the month. A charge of five percent (5%) will be made on accounts which <br /> have aot been paid by the 25th of each month. Sanitary sewer setvi6e will <br /> be disconnected at tbe main on unpaid accounts ia arrears for three months. <br /> The user will be responsible for all costs of disconnection, reconnectioa <br /> and current and past due sewer cbarges including penalties. <br /> <br /> <br />
