CURRENT POLICY (SEWER) Section XVI. Sewer Charges. (a) Fees: The following charges for sewer service are adopted and made effective as of the date of ibis ordinance applicable to all sewer service on the Cabarrus Coanty system. These charges shall consist of a discharge permit fee plus the appropriate tapping fees as shown below: Type of Service Size of Service Discharge Permit Fee _Tapping Fee Residential 4" $250 Ail material, eqnip. & labor Residential 6" and larger $250 per house- Ail alaterial, bold unit equip. & labor Commercial/ All sizes $1500 Ali material, Industrial equip. & labor (b) Sewer Rates (1) Tho volume of flow used in computing residential or commercial waste shall be based open metered water consumption. Where the person discharging wastes, other than industrial waste, iato the sanitary sewers of Cabarrus County, procures all or part of bis water suppiy from sources other than the Board, all or part of which is discharged in the sanitary sewer, the person discharging said waste shall install anti maint~in, at bis expease, a water meter of a type approved by tim Board, for the purpose of determiaiag the proper volume of flow to be charged. Charges for tim sewer service shall be computed according to the prevailing sewer rate of $1.50'per 1~00 gallons. Said charges shall be paid at the Tax Collector's office on or before the 10th of each month. Second notices will be mailed to all unpaid accounts not paid by the 25th of the month. A charge of five percent (5%) will be made on accounts which have aot been paid by the 25th of each month. Sanitary sewer setvi6e will be disconnected at tbe main on unpaid accounts ia arrears for three months. The user will be responsible for all costs of disconnection, reconnectioa and current and past due sewer cbarges including penalties.
