The Ambulance sub-station presently located at Hwy 49-601 will be moved
due to future bridge construction.

2. Service to the Mt.' Pleasant area will require excessive response time.
The Mt. Pleasant Lions Club has offered a plan for assistance to obtain area
service.

3. Service to the Midland area presently requires excessive response time.
The Cabarrus Rescue houses a vehicle at the Midland VFD for emergency use to
tbe southern area of the county to be used for rescue - not ambulance
service. The Midland VFD services the fire district with their rescue
vehicle. Response time to the Midland area will be longer after the
re-location of the sub-station at Hwy 49-601.

4. The Harrisburg Rescue Squad presently serves a considerable area. Due
to lack of advanced life support certification for volunteer personnel, they
are required to have assistance, from the present sub-station services. In
other words, both are called at the same time.
