JTPA Specialist Il and Job Training Administrator attended and facilitated workshops/sessions at the National Dropout Prevention Conference and the N.C. Dropout Prevention Conference in Winston-Salem, N.C. on March 28-31, 1988. - Planned, pre[~ared for, and conducted meeting of the Private industry Council and Consortium on March 23, 1988, with major emphasis on approving the Final Job Training Plan for submission to the N.C. Division of Employment and Training by April 12, 1988.' - Met with Job Placement/Dropout Prevention (JP/DP) Consultant from the Southwest Regional Education Center on March 8, 1988, regarding the Educational Training component of the Summer Youth Employment and Training Program (SYETP) and again on March 14, 1988, with the JP/DP Consultant and the Regional Director for SREC Region VI regarding the SYETP, and recommer;dations, suggestions, and planning of activities for both SYETP components. - Provided technical assistance and programmatic information to Richard West of SRI International on March 7-9, 1988, who was visiting the Centralina SDA conducting a survey on the effects of performance standards on JTPA programs. for the National Commission on Employment Policy. - Drafted and mailed Title II-B Summer Youth Employment and Training information on Eligible Applicant Pool. - Began compiling data for the second quarterly PY'87 Verification Report. - Worked with Title II-A and [I-B service providers in securing program activity, summaries, and planning requirements to incorporate into the Final Job Training Plan for presentation to the Private Industry Council and Consortium on March 22, 1988.
