Representative samples of <br /> these categories will be sealed in plastic bags and <br /> sent to CDM's laboratory. To determine the <br /> moisture content of the categories the plastic <br /> containers will be opened and left in a'ventilated <br /> oven at 103°c for 48 hours. The weight loss will <br /> be reported as moisture. <br /> <br /> CDM will analyze the results and compare with other <br /> local and national data. <br /> <br /> · Estimate gross revenues at various recovery rates. <br /> <br />TASK C - WASTE SEPARATION/RECYCLING PROGRAM EVALUATION <br /> <br /> · ' CDM will identify waste separation/recycling programs within <br /> the study area, meet with responsible officials of each, and <br /> conduct an evaluation of each operation. This work will <br /> focus upon key elements of the programs including public <br /> participation efforts, history of revenues, participation <br /> rates, collection and processing methods, and financing <br /> methods. <br /> <br /> · CDM will identify, develop, and evaluate alternative waste <br /> separation/recycling programs and dete~mine their <br /> applicability to the County. Thiswerk will include <br /> alternative collection methods such as user delivery systems <br /> versus organized collection systems. Buy back centers, on <br /> call programs, commercial/office program~, and drop off <br /> centers will be included in the analysis. Capital and annual <br /> <br /> <br />
