An individual who possesses a current and valid <br /> certification as a North Carolina Emergency Medical <br /> Technician may be certified as an individual first <br /> responder in Cabarrus County without having to <br /> complete a forty (40) hour first responder Course. <br /> Current American Heart Association or American Red <br /> Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification <br /> and first responder continuing education are <br /> required. N.C. E.H.T. certification must remain <br /> current and all other requirements of these <br /> guidelines must be fulfilled. Any calls received personally by a first responder <br /> agency or individual must be'reported first to the <br /> Cabarrus County Commun'ications Center before first <br /> responders respond to the call. <br /> <br /> 5. The first responder or agency will only'be dispatched to <br /> emergency situations in their designated first responder <br /> ares -- unless an emergency situation arises elsewhere in <br /> the county where their assistance wilt be needed. <br /> <br /> <br />
