The follow.ing single bid was received: <br /> <br /> Piping, Plumbing Mechanical Contractors Inc. $377,879.00 <br /> <br />Cumulative project cost including previous low bids received <br />10.20.87: <br /> <br /> (C-l) General COnstruction $1,452,750.00 ~ <br /> (C-2) HVAC Construction 182,855.00 ~ <br /> (C-3) Plumbing Construction 377,879.00 - ~ <br /> (C-4) Electrical Construction 185,600.00 <br /> (C-5) Prison Equipment Work 1,037,651.00 ~'~t, <br /> $3,236,735.00 <br /> <br />This exceeds the owner's maximum budget amount by $236,735.00. <br /> <br />Sheriff Canaday noted the following concerning the ~ , <br />Stewart-Decatur November 13, 1987, letter outlining cost-saving~ <br />measures for contract C-5, PriSon Equipment (see attached). <br /> <br /> Item No. 1 -- Acceptable. Cost savings of $5,000.00. <br /> <br /> Item No, 2(a) -- Unacceptable. This would change the design <br /> intent. <br /> <br /> Item No. 2(b) -- Acceptable. Cost savings of $3,400.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
