Batte, Jr., has served 50 years as a Trustee <br /> of Cabarrus He~rtal Hospital, and his service has spanned the entire <br /> history of this co~anunity institution which provides health care for <br /> the people of Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WHER~S, during Hr, Batte's many years of service and leadership, <br /> Cabarrus Memorial Hospital has gro~ from a 50-bed hospital with a <br /> staff of 19 employees in 1937 to a modern, 658-bed, not-for-profit <br /> general hospital which is recognized today as a progressive, high <br /> quality health care institution; and <br /> <br /> ~ER~S~ Hr. Batte, who has served as Chairman of the Board of <br /> Trustees since 1969, has worked for half a century to provide all <br /> people the best available hospital and health care at the lowest <br /> possible cost; and <br /> <br /> ~HER~S~ a recent nation~ide study indicates that Cabarrus <br /> Memorial Hospital has some of the lo.est per day costs in the nation-- <br /> and the lowest on the East coast. <br /> <br /> ~09, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV~: <br /> <br /> 1.
