Make visits to the site at intervals appropriate to the various stages of construction to observe the progress and quality of the executed work and to determine, in general, if such work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents. 6. Review of monthly construction cost estimates for use as a basis for payment to the contractor. 7. Provide assistance in start-up and testing equipment and prepare operating manuals when required by regulatory agencies. 8. Provide liaison between County officials, regulatory agencies and the Contractor. 9. Keep County officials informed as to the progress of the work and the status of the project. 10. Final review and certification of the project. 8. Resident Project Representative If authorized by the County, we will provide one or more full-time Resident Project Representatives during construction. The Resident Project Representative will be located on the job throughout the construction period and will observe the work performed by the Contractor to endeavor to provide further protection for the County against defects and deficiencies in the Contractor's work. The furnishing of these services shall not include responsibility of the Contractor's construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or of any safety precautions and programs in connection with the work. The Resident Project Representative shall not be responsible for the Contractor's failure to carry out the work in accordance with the Construction Contract. Compensation for these services will be negotiated after the scope of work has been defined. PART V - MISCELLANEOUS ENGINEERING SERVICES In addition to the foregoing services and fees, the following special services may be performed when requested by the County:
