Provide the County with such assistance as might be desired to <br /> inform the public of its program and promote good public <br /> relations. <br /> <br /> 5. Make visits to the site at intervals appropriate to the various <br /> stages of construction to observe the progress and quality of the <br /> executed work and to determine, in general, if such work is <br /> proceeding in accordance with the contract documents. <br /> <br /> 6. Review of monthly construction cost estimates for use as a basis <br /> for payment to the contractor. <br /> <br /> 7. Provide assistance in start-up and testing equipment and prepare <br /> operating manuals when required by regulatory agencies. <br /> <br /> 8. Provide liaison between County officials, regulatory agencies and <br /> the Contractor. <br /> <br /> 9. Keep County officials informed as to the progress of the work and <br /> the status of the project. <br /> <br /> 10. Final review and certification of the project. <br /> <br /> 8. Resident Project Representative <br /> <br /> If authorized by the County, we will provide one or more full-time <br /> Resident Project Representatives during construction. The Resident <br /> Project Representative will be located on the job throughout the <br /> construction period and will observe the work performed by the <br /> Contractor to endeavor to provide further protection for the County <br /> against defects and deficiencies in the Contractor's work. The <br /> furnishing of these services shall not include responsibility of the <br /> Contractor's construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or <br /> procedures, or of any safety precautions and programs in connection <br /> with the work. The Resident Project Representative shall not be <br /> responsible for the Contractor's failure to carry out the work in <br /> accordance with the Construction Contract. <br /> <br />Compensation for these services will be negotiated after the scope of work has <br />been defined. <br /> <br />PART V - MISCELLANEOUS ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />In addition to the foregoing services and fees, the following special services <br />may be performed when requested by the County: <br /> <br /> <br />
