Under provisions of the Act. the Office of ~tate Budget and Hanagemnt is delegat~ responsibility for the administration and disburse~nt of the funds. The legislation ~equires that the funds in each year of the bien~um be distributed based on (1) the ratio of the county population to the total popu- lation of the State as of ~uly 1, 1984 and (2) the ratio of the city population to the total population of the county as of July 1, 1983 vlth boundaries as of July 1, 1984. In accordance vith this fo~ula, you are advised of the allocation of funds for your area as specified in Attach~nt 1. ~e basic ~ta used in deve- loping these distributions are included for your info~ation. They represent the same esti~tes previously certified to the Vepart~nt of Revenue for distributing other State-shared revenue. Funds are available for these purposes effective July 1, 1985 sub~ect to the provisions outllned in Attach~nt 2. Also attached for your information and revie~ is the excerp~ from Senate Bill 2 vhich authorizes the ~ater and sever funding for local govern~nts.
