CATEGORY II OFFENSES <br /> <br /> 1.No person shall.engage in any activity which may constitute a hazard <br /> to the safety of said person or of other patrons, except when conducted <br /> '-' within reasonable safety guidelines in specific areas designated by · <br /> · park management for such activity. Such activities, as example, may <br /> include, but are not limited to, archery, hitting of golf balls, and <br /> horseback riding. <br /> <br /> 2.Unless otherwise posted, no person shall operate a motor vehicle in <br /> excess of 20 miles per hour within the Park. <br /> <br /> 3. No person shall operate a motorized trail bike.or any other vehicle <br /> designed primarily for off road use within the confines of the Park. <br /> <br /> 4. No person shall operate motorized boats on any lake or stream in the <br /> Park,.except for authorized park personnel or its agents. <br /> <br /> 5. No person shall launch a boat from a trailer, car, truck or any other <br /> conveyance except at a launch area designated by park management. <br /> <br /> 6.Boating shall not be permitted unless each patron is wearing a U. S. <br /> Coast Guard Approved Personal Flotation Device. <br /> <br /> 7. No person shall fish within the Park without a North Carolina Fishing <br /> License, except as provided for in the North Carolina Fishing Regulations. <br /> All patrons must abide by state regulations on seasons, hours and fishing/ <br /> baiting methods except as otherwise designated in park regulations. <br /> <br /> 8.All largemouth bass - smaller than ~4" - caught by park patrons must <br /> be released unharmed back into the park lake immediately. <br /> <br /> 9. All largemoutb bass, 14" and above, in excess of three per visitor, per <br /> day, must be released unharmed back into the park lake iranediatel~. <br /> <br />10. No person shall discharge or use fireworks of any kind or nature in <br /> the park, except for authorized park agents. <br /> <br />11. No person shall damage or alter any wildlife habitat or area within <br /> the park except as undertaken by authorized park personnel or its <br /> agents as bona fide wildlife management practice. <br /> <br />12. No person shall dispose of lighted or unlighted matches, cigars, <br /> cigarettes, or any other flanmable material or substance in other <br /> than trash receptacles or ash cans. <br /> <br />13. No dogs, cats or other pets are allowed in the Park except on a <br /> leash or when such animal is part of a park program. <br /> <br />14. No person shall build a fire anywhere within the Park other than in <br /> grills or fireplaces within established picnic and camping areas. <br /> <br />15. No person shall engage in excessively noisy conduct of any kind, at <br /> any time, within the Park such that it unreasonably disturbs other <br /> park patrons or neighbors. The park ranger on duty is empowered to <br /> determine whether noise is excessive or unreasonably disturbing. <br /> <br /> <br />
