CIAL NOTICE TO COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, MANAGERS AND ATTORNEYS "LEGISLATIVE BRIEFING" JUNE 10, 1986 HILTON INN - HILLSBOROUGH STREET RALEIGH, NC The General Assembly is gearing up to begin its 1986 Short Session in less than two months. The Association has scheduled a Legislative Briefing on Tuesday, June 10, at the Hilton Inn on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. This meeting will give county officials a chance to hear the latest information on major legislative issues and to visit with local legislators. Ail county commissioners, managers and attorneys' are urged to attend. Registration will be open from 1]:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Hilton Inn. The Legislative Briefing will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will conclude around 5:00 p.m. From 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. a reception honoring our State Legislators will be held. DINNER WILL BE ON YOUR OWN. WE ARE URGING COUNTY OFFICIALS TO CONTACT THE MEMBERS OF THEIR LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO ARRANGE FOR PRIVATE DINNERS ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. Registration Fee The registration fee for the meeting and reception is $35.00 per person. This fee will cover the cost of the reception for county' officials and our guest legislators and costs associated with the meeting. Please complete the enclosed "Registration Form" and RETURN IT TO THE ASSOCIATION OFFICE WITH YOUR REGISTRATION REMITTANCE BY JUNE 2, 1986. Room Reservations We are holding rooms at the Hilton In~ for our attendees. Overflow accoF~odations will be at the Velvet Cloak Inn which is next door to the Hilton Inn. When our block of rooms at the Hilton is filled, we will send additional requests to the Velvet Cloak Inn. Room rates are $43 single, $50 double at the Hilton and $45 single, $50 double at the Velvet Cloak Inn. Your confirmation will indicate whether you will be in the }{ilton Inn or the Velvet Cloak Inn. PLEASE RETURN THE ENCLOSED RESERVATION CARD TO THE HILTON INN BY }~Y 27th. After that date, all rooms not reserved will be released.
