INTERNAL OPERATIONS Describe briefly the major goals of your organization <br /> and the overall strategy for implementing those goals. <br /> 5un~narlze your organization's planning process, ho~v <br /> your organization works to develop the arts in our <br /> county, how your organization evaluates its programs <br /> and/or services, and your organization's policies and <br /> procedures for ensuring fiscal control and account- <br /> ability. <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to meeting <br /> the various leisure needs of the citizens of Cabarrus County. Teh department <br /> strives to meet these needs in 2 major areas: facilities and programs. Facilities <br /> are developed both by the county and with other community organizations through a <br /> matching grants program. Programs are developed to meet the needs that are not <br /> being served by other local agencies; public or private. Needs are identified <br /> through contact with various individuals and groups in the community; surveys; <br /> and recent trends within the leisure field itself. The department has attempted <br /> to developed a well-balanced art program for citizens of all ages with both visual <br /> and eprforming arts. The staff of the department along with various part-time <br /> staff, volunteers and participants meet fol10wing many programs to evaluate and <br /> upgrade services. All Cabarrus County agencies are governed by the local government <br /> fiscal control act which requires very accurate accounting of all monies spent and <br /> received. <br /> <br /> <br />
