UPON HOTION of Commissioner Hamby. seconded by Chairman Lentz with <br />Co~issioners Hamby and Upright and Chairman Lentz voting for and Comissioners <br />Payne and garnhardt voting against, the Board approved on first reading an <br />a~endment to the Street Sign Policy so that in a new subdivision for new sig~s <br />the initial cost for the-first sign will::be borne by the subdivider and the <br />County will take over.maintenance:subsequently. <br /> <br /> UPON HOTION of :C~issionar.-ltBby, iseconded by Chairman Lentz with : <br /> Comissioners Hamby,'Payne. ~nd Upright' and Chairman Lentz voting-for-and · ' <br /> Commissioner Barnhardt voting against, the Board instructed that a letter be <br /> sent to the City of ICannapolis explaining that Cabarrus County does not <br /> the street installation and maintenance service to other <br /> provide <br /> sign <br /> m~micipality and asking that the City consider what they would like to have <br /> the County do in regard to the placement of new street signs in the City of <br /> Kannapolis; that is, doing the street sign service on their o~m, coming to an <br /> agreement with the County regarding reimbursement for this service, or whatever <br /> would be their desire. <br /> <br /> <br />
